Deaths of Hollywood Stars: Brienne Cross Brutally Killed in Aspen

ASPEN. On the morning of May 25, 2009, rising country-and-pop star Brienne Cross was found dead in a rented McMansion on Castle Creek in Aspen, Colorado. Killed along with her were the remaining contestants of her reality show, “Soul Mate”—Brendan Shayles, Amber Redmond, Tanya Williams, and Connor Fallon. Two of the victims, Balough and Williams, were mutilated beyond recognition.

A week later, two men were arrested and charged with the crime. Donny Lee Odell, age 27, and Ray Arquette, age 39, had a history of criminal behavior, and had been part of the same white supremacist terrorist cell in Hayden Lake, Idaho.

It was believed that Odell and Arquette, angry over the interracial romance between two of the contestants, carried out the six murders.

Late on the morning the murders were discovered, a seventh person was found alive. Writer/photographer Nick Holloway, 42, was writing a series of articles on the show’s taping for Vanity Fair. Strangely, he was discovered unconscious under Brienne Cross’s Escalade in the garage beneath the house. He had massive amounts of Rohypnol and alcohol in his system, which begs the question: did he make it under the Escalade under his own steam, or did someone put him there?
